Suvitha Muthukumar
Designer
Suvitha is drawn to the relationship between people and place, and to design that genuinely listens to both. Her work to date spans scales and contexts – from streetscape interventions and residential detail through to civic precincts and urban frameworks – united by a consistent interest in what is already there, and how it can inform and anchor design work.
Shaped by her studies, professional practice, and an upbringing that taught her cities are living things, Suvitha approaches each project with attention to the inherited conditions of a site and a commitment to working with them rather than over them. She is motivated by the idea that practice is a form of custodianship – of place, community, and the in-between spaces that quietly shape how we experience the city.
