Subiaco Oval Redevelopment Sneak Peek

We were pleased to see our images of the Subiaco Oval Redevelopment project reach the news recently. Part of Development WA’s larger Subiaco East Redevelopment, the project is one that we’ve been working on since 2019 with our Design Partner OCULUS.

In the spotlight this week was the Sandover Medal walk – a reinterpretation of the Sandover Medallist pavers that previously were located outside Subiaco Oval. This element has been developed in collaboration with Studio Field.

In addition to the reinterpreted Sandover Medal Walk and other elements that celebrate WA’s football history, the project includes a Noongar Six Seasons Bidi trail – an immersive experience for visitors to learn about Noongar knowledge, culture and history, which has been led by the Subi East Elder Group and Karrda (Barbara Bynder, Farley Garlett and the team). This walk will include a series of Bidi Markers that are being created by six Noongar artists, with public art coordination by Apparatus.

More information about the Sandover Medal walk can be found here.
