Communicating Design at UNDA and UWA

This year, in addition to her role as Design Communications Director at UDLA, Loren has taken on a couple of teaching roles.

Last semester, at the University of Notre Dame Australia, Loren led the 3rd Year Bachelor of Architecture students through the Research and Critique in Architecture unit. Coordinated by Robyn Creagh, the unit was focused on the exploration of theory, lived experience and frames of view in architectural design and critique.

This semester, Loren is teaching within the Australian Landscapes unit at The University of Western Australia’s School of Design. Coordinated by Rosie Halsmith, the unit critically unpacks key works and theories of Australian designers, analysing them in relation to global theory and practice.

Collaborating with the next generation of designers – through teaching, attending design critiques and having students as part of our team – is a big part of what we do at UDLA. With another semester just starting, we’re excited to see where it goes.
